For the general public, the fear of a Chinese telecom company participating in the infrastructure of democratic countries is one perpetuated by our governments’
So in putting together this abbreviated list of the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to 5G, I hope to have given you the means to walk into the future with your eyes wide open.
That means you can talk to legislators, telecommunication providers, and equipment builders to ensure that they understand how to mitigate the risks of the bad and enact necessary rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the ugly never happens.
Do We Really Need Smart Homes and Smart Bots?

A Smart Home is outfitted with sensors that communicate through the Internet or local wireless interfaces with you and the smart devices contained within and around it.
The smart appliances and equipment in a Smart Home are designed to perform within the constraint of their functions.
They come with an AI on board that allows them to learn from the surrounding environment and through activities shown them.
For people with disability, or for an aging population, these technologies provide real value.
If you need help with repeatable routine activities then a home outfitted with smart appliances makes sense.
But if you need technology to learn from you about more complex tasks that may change over time, then Smart Bots may be a worthwhile investment.
