Will AI Save You From Bad Managers In The Future Of Work?

Popular culture has driven companies and large cohorts of management into adopting chaos as their modus operandi.Amateur managers often resort to tactical game theory learnt as part of theirmanagement courses to compensate for lack of true insights into their workforce.

All of this might soon change, as advances in predictive analytics and artificial intelligence algorithms have enabled modern workplaces to benchmark team performance and spot early signals of change.

Whether you arelooking to improve productivity and team collaboration or prevent misconduct and reduce staff incidents, an intelligent, proactive view of team activity can provide invaluable insights ina manager'sdecision making .

A shift to using a growing number of such AI applications will allow managers to reclaim time to spend on strategic planning and direct one-on-one with their team.

Automation of repetitive tasks can generate an estimated $2.9 billion in business value and save 6.2 billion hours of worker productivity, according to Gartner.

Such algorithms can collect existing activity from a variety of distributed systems to create behavior patterns, that can then be better understood in the context of their workplace environments.Empowering managers with insights into their own actions and its effect on their team can firmly addresses the root cause of bad management.

Using parameters ranging from wellbeing to communication, a conscious use of smart system can allow you to map outputs instead of unnecessary inputs like timesheets, office presence, etc.

You can greatly enhance operational visibility within your team by using AI powered analytics inbuilt into modern collaboration platforms and staying up to date on changing communications trends.

Unusual behavior, not only benchmarked against past behavior, but also in comparison peers and colleagues, are often used by such systems, which then allow for further analysis manually through typical conversational interfaces.

Such analysis can often have the ability to address a variety of common workplace issues and make inferences regarding employee stress levels and productivity, cross-departmental communication, use of resources, and incidents of cyberattack or data/device theft.

Transparency is the key to ethical and responsible adoption of AI.Experiments, both successful and failed, should be communicated with people involved to encourage wider participation and comfort with the inevitable transformation of the workplace.

Building a Successful Security and Compliance Program for Your SAP Landscape

To ensure that their data is secure and to lower their fraud risk, companies running SAP software need to understand the latest trends in what auditors are asking about when it comes to security and privacy controls, and what tools are available to help manage risk and compliance, such as SAP governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solutions for SAP customers.

Introducing the Recharged, Expanded SAP Service Cloud

“Solve my problem, solve it quickly, and make it easy for me.” If you don’t check the boxes on each of these criteria, your customers are likely frustrated, if not already moving on to a competitor’s business.

Fortunately, the rental company has already reached out to you proactively upon your arrival to ensure everything is okay, so once you respond with the issue, they send a technician over immediately to fix the unit while adding a credit back to your account for the inconvenience.

Others include: Beyond expanding our product portfolio through these new SAP companies, we’ve continued to innovate with new homegrown solutions too, with a focus on injecting intelligence through AI and machine learning to automate and enhance the service process.

The AI-based algorithm embedded in the tool can identify the content and intent of the request, if it should go to the billing team or the technical support team, recognize if the customer is a VIP member, or identify other critical information up front, such as an order number mentioned in an email.

SAP adds Uber Freight to logistics network

By Ben Ames Uber Freight has integrated its digital freight matching tool into German software giant SAP AG's Logistics Business Network, a unit of the company's 'supply chain execution platform' that is designed to help business partners work together under the growing strain of providing e-commerce fulfillment.

By using Uber Freight to create a networked approach to booking cargo in trucks, SAP Logistics Business Network's customers will now be able to: obtain upfront pricing and real-time tracking, utilize excess capacity to make driving more efficient, and reduce the emissions created by under-utilized trucks, SAP said.

Learn more here: 'For the world's biggest shippers, an efficient, digitalized supply chain is critical to their business success,' Bill Driegert, director of operations for Uber Freight, said in a release. 'Uber Freight is partnering with SAP to bring shippers and carriers together at the level where freight decisions are being made.

Gaining access to those capabilities is critical in an age when global supply chains have grown more complex than ever, a trend that is pushing many companies to focus on their core competencies while outsourcing other logistics tasks to carriers, freight forwarders, and customs agents, said Richard Howells, vice president - solution management for digital supply chain at SAP.

The integration with Uber Freight will simplify load management for those users, in all geographies where the company is operating, he said. And that footprint is expanding, since Uber Freight announced in March that it planned to extend its operations into Europe beginning with a launch in the Netherlands 'in the coming weeks' and expanding to additional countries in the near future.
