Advanced Topics on DTM: Empirical Studies on AI-based Systems

Seminar, 4 SWS This empirical research seminar deals with the interaction between users and information systems (IS) incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, such as voice assistants, robo advisors, or autonomous cars.

The seminar begins with two introductory lecture sessions, which provide an overview of the technical and theoretical foundations of the interaction between users and AI-based IS and summarize methodological approaches to study related research questions.

Following, the participants will work in groups of 3 to 4 members and conduct an empirical research project related to user interaction with AI-enabled systems.
